The Science
RO pushes water through a semi-permeable membrane at high pressure, blocking up to 99% of dissolved salts, heavy metals, bacteria and contaminants — leaving only pure water molecules through.
Borehole, tap or tank water enters the system — may contain salts, fluoride, iron, bacteria or heavy metals.
Sediment filter (5µm) and activated carbon block remove suspended particles, chlorine and odours that could damage the membrane.
A pump pressurises the water to force it through the RO membrane — typically 8–15 bar for brackish water.
The semi-permeable membrane rejects up to 99% of dissolved salts, fluoride, nitrates, heavy metals and microbes.
Clean permeate water flows to your storage tank or tap. Reject brine is discharged to drain.
